Has anyone had experience with Apico holeshot devices?

They are only $40 compared to works connections $120.. what’s the difference? Is the Apico just junk?

i have run the dual and the standard, both worked ok and many racers here use them, with no issues, at present i run the works connection one, the apico stuff is prolly about the same quality as the tusk stuff you usa guys get, its ok but its not the quality of the likes of works connection etc

The best value to me is the scar unit. Cheaper than works and has 4 mounting screws instead of 2. I’ve seen so many works rip out of the guard over time.

Ive had an apico one on for 2 years now and had no issues. Pointless spending an extra £80 for something that does the exact same job.
I find most of the works connection stuff is well overpriced.

Just pulled one off after less than 1/2 season.  It felt like it developed a burr internal to the push button area.  Couldn't fix it.  Wouldn't engage or release smoothly.  Started hanging up and dragging my fork protector (ktm) down.  Also pulled my dust wiper with it.  Bit the bullet and ordered a WC.  Its well built and magnetic to help hold it out of the way.

Overall, seemed to work until it didn't.  I think it would have eventually damaged the fork tube.

Just my 2 cents.
