Taking in less and spending less, makes enough additional income to pay off debt? In what alternate universe?

Seems to me, with my poor mathematical skills, one would need to increase their income and reduce their spending in order to have enough residual funds to pay down one's debt, right?

I mean, but what do I know, I was told I was wrong when I complained about Bush cutting taxes and then increasing spending while also starting a war.

Where are all those jobs now that we have had the tax cuts for 10 years?

Maybe the rich and the big corporations just pocket the money, or invest it in Wall Street to make more of it, rather than creating jobs.

Bush isn't in office right now. No matter what he did...whining about it isn't going to solve the debt problem.
