....something about a series sponsor the way Tony Stewart (or Dale Jr., Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, etc etc etc) blasted Goodyear? Wow. He lit their asses up! I think it was great the drivers said what they did about their disappointment in the tires they had at Atlanta. Brutal honesty.

Anyway, carry on....

Do NASCAR guys have to run one brand of tire? I saw that on sportscenter and could not believe it was one of his sponsors.

I know this through EIDave in a previous thread..Yes, they run a spec tire...all of them. Goodyear. I guess it helps keep the stock name around.

I told them they shoulda stayed with Hoosier, but FUCK NO, what the hell do I know. Dumbasses. But to answer the original ?, in the moto world, a rider who blasted a series sponsor like that would probably be seriously reprimanded. Hell if I were NASCAR I'd give Stewart a stern talking to. I can't stand that sumbitch anyway.

They brought a tire a few years ago that was wearing real bad to the cords and they even had some failures. So now they bring these shitty super hard tires I think NASCAR's words for Goodyear will be just has harsh. Atlanta is usually a multi groove racetrack with close finishes.

I can't wait for Nascar to get a load of Jlaw. Make Tony Stewart look like a choir boy.

Tony Stewart is one of the reason's I started watching that stuff. The guy speak's his mind and has alot of skill behind the wheel. I think he has a love/hate fan base....no in-between.

Yep Stewart is old school for sure. Says what he thinks and backs it up with the loud pedal.

Before the start of the season, NASCAR told the teams and drivers that they want them to speak more freely and openly with fans and media

Got what they asked for

Today is penalty day, so if they do do anything (fine) we'll know today
