Sounds like a great experience. Sounds like great prep..not hard and slick. Was it the National track or the amateur track out back?
I was there last year for the races but never went out back.

You stuck it out longer than me dude, good job!! I started 3rd in Vet B/C 30+ and moved into the lead halfway through the first lap. The whole lap I was thinking about my dad sitting at home watching the live timing and scoring and how pumped he'd be to see me coming over the finish line at the end of that first lap in the lead. I caught 4th gear over the Skyshot and pinned it down into the left hand sweeper ( I was riding way over my head). As soon as I got into the sweeper I realized I was going way to fast and there were way to many ruts, and I cross rutted and ate it hard. Instead my dad got to see me come over in last :-) Oh well, I ended up going down again and taking a DNF. I got 8th in the M.E. regional the weekend before so I didn't think I'd be able to improve on that so I packed it up and went and played horseshoes and drank a few beers with him instead.

And I agree, rough and rutted. Honestly though, it wasn't as rough as the regional at Baja Acres.

Did they cut any of the sections out like the Screw U?
I heard they changed the section by vendors row. We will be riding there this weekend with SATRA and am wondering what to expect.

They took out Screw-U and the new table top they put in a couple years ago. Those two sections probably cut upwards of 15 seconds off lap times. The A guys and maybe some of the B guys could have gotten up Screw-U, but the C guys would never have made it, especially if it rained.

The Screw-U is the scariest and most fun section of any track I've ridden. The whole way down just trying to stop and all the way up hoping to have the drive to float over the top.
Then watch the pros launch into it. I'm a 48 year old C level rider.
Thanks for the update can't wait for Saturday.
