When it comes to training for mx, no matter how much exercise you do and no matter what type of exercise you do, nothing prepares you for moto better than moto itself. You could be a marathon runner or triathlon ironman winner and one day of riding will bring you to your knees. Most of us know this.
However, did you know that there is also "no substitute for sack time"? Since my wife left me, my opportunities to engage in "concentrated horizontal hip thrusts, done in rapid succession" has drastically decreased and let me tell you, no matter how much MTBing, mxing, weight lifting, or doing 12oz curls I do, there is nothing that prepares the body for a night of co-ed naked wrestling quite like a night of . . . well, co-ed naked wrestling.
Just an FYI and yes, this is moto-related.
