That Big Ass Jump in the middle of the infield at Mount Morris has quietly become

one of the MOST spectacular jumps in motocross. Installed last year ( I believe by Marc

Peters ) and sculpted and reconfigured this year - it provides a double-jump that

shoots you straight up to the heavens, leaves you hanging in the air until your projectile

loses it's mojo, then drops you to the ground like a sack of rotten potatoes. Body English

- or French-comes into play and the 250's seemingly have to square it up - vice the

450's simply mapping in extra EFI juices.... It's SO GNARLY.

I've boldly named it - " THE RIDONKULATOR " - if you have a better one. Let it fly.

big ass jump in the infield kinda has a ring to it. Just imagine Buydos announcing it. "As they make their way down to the big ass jump in the infield" Megacool but not very family friendly.

The Ballbuster!

Shape up that landing and many more drain plugs would be shown off. Landing looked REALLY rough on a 250f where they were stretching for the extra distance and getting ultra high.

BAJITI

Sounds scary and foreign. The adults know what it stands for.

Any one else see Dungey case that dog, I know it had to hurt him.

Can someone shed some light on which National is gone for 2011? Is it High Point or Steel City? Keep seeing posts about both being done. Let's hope it is not High Point. Shame either way actually.

I'm guessing here, but it does seem that High Point has, over the last few years,

received the most improvements.

So, I'm thinking that Steel City would be the one to go - and Barber Motorsports Park

in Abalabama (!) - will be the new venue...

LOL! Rup, Im a Michigander and a proud defender of the Red Bud way of life but it sure appears on TV (and if it looks big on TV you know it's twice as knarly) that High Point has really tuned in the spectacular reagarding their layout.

That jump is amazing. We got some awesome pictures of everyone hitting it, and my girlfriend was calling it the catapault jump.

Call it the Final Leap since that was the last time you'll see it done at a national there.

That makes sense. They are going crazy around here with the Marcellus wells. However I noticed there is a new well that was drilled within the last year across the road from the back side parking. They can put them every 40 acres but that is a little close for it to be at the track. Plus anybody within a mile that has mineral rights collect royalties. That would include the track property.

If you ask Searle, I'd bet he'd say "Dead Stop" would be a good name for it. He cased it harder than I had ever seen someone case a jump. Ashame it wasn't even highlighted on TV. He was totally sideways and landed right on the face, came to a complete stop and fell over. It was nasty looking.

I'd also put my vote in for "The Starfish" It shot you straight up and most riders floundered in the air to get the bike turned back and if you didn't make it you more than likely would flop around. I'm sure it was also the cause of several ass puckering moments throughout the day.

"The Cankler". Surely anyone who cased it was left with cankles.

We had a double at our local track that one of my buddies cased and he swelled up and formed a nice cankle from it. The double from then on was dubbed the 'Cankler'. Another of our crew crashed on it and his bike cartwheeled and drilled him in the back and left bruises that were dubbed "Cankler sores"
