I wanna set my iphone up to play through my car sound system. Looking at getting this unit. Dave, or anyone else have any experience with setting these up?

I've tried a couple of the FM ones, and never really found one that works that good.

Not on mine. I have the bose system with the dvd player. I had it set up through my dvd player. But I am trying to get a cleaner set up without the wires hanging around.

Ive got the Bose system in my truck too Matt and have been looking into these. From my research that is the best method available for the Bose equipped vehicles.

Buy a new headhunt that's XM, Bluetooth, HD, and iPod ready.

You could probably get a shitload of money for the stocker, enough to get something better from the aftermarket with all the new shit in it.

I have a Sony MEX-BT3800U. It is AWESOME. Does everything you need it to do. Even plays MP3 from a thubm drive. Ipod controls are built in with a hook up cable that is hidden in the back of the unit. The hands free works flawlessly and voice dial works very good. Also, getting it from the link below means that it comes with everything you need. I would highly reccomend this unit.

I am about to buy a new head unit for my vehicle. Panasonic has a couple of new on x920 and z120. They are full on touch screen navi units that have the enertia scroll and you can link over Bluetooth pandora and a lot of other things.

They are alittle more expensive but they are bad ass!!!

I purchased an iPod2Car unit on ebay several years ago. Had to remove part of dash and plug it into the back or my stereo. Lets me use it with my steering wheel controls as well.

Mine is on a wire, Matt

Get the Composite A/V cable, it has 3 RCA jacks (right/left audio and a video) and a USB (to power and charge it)

As long as your head unit has RCA inputs, you're golden
Works good.
I hid all the wiring behind and even wired in a USB power behind so all that is exposed is the actual Apple iPhone wire jack.
If someone wanted to be creative, a stand or hard jack could be made from that

You can't use a dock/bracket and hardwire it into the "AUX" circuit?

That's how we do our GMs.
