I purchased the foam and cover for a 1987 CR250 from Vintage Iron last year to put on my 87 CR125. OEM style graphics and lettering, good quality cover.

Update on my 86 CR 250
I found an Ohlins shock on ebay for 30.00 BIN, Steve Marpes from Vintage Ohlins rebuilt it from me, works awesome. I really love riding this bike. Pics are after riding last Sunday

Evo that looks much better with the correct seat cover and that pipe came up a treat. Is that just the stocker with the paint removed and polished?

Now, about those decals..... Wink

The bets are out how long I'll own it :-) I'll plan to give her a little face lift. Think I'm going to go with the GP look, green backgrounds and add a little splice of bling. I do love those '86-'87 CR's

Bulto, wondering how you finished your 86 CR. Or, if finished.

I also live in Houston. When I get my 86 back from up north, do you want to meet up? I expect it back in mid-November. Let's compare notes.

BTW, Vital is a GREAT place to list your political views. SO needed here.

Newt, a PhD. from some minor Southern U.-- who cheated on his wife, ending his sham marriage-- giving the rest of us "guidance" as to how some other radio hack who pushes that the Bible is literally true, for profit (Beck makes $20MM per year), can guide the rest of us.

Putting the new Ohlins spring on today, setting sag and plan to hit Rio next Sunday.

BTW, as for the political bs, lot have been around here for longtime and we just jack with each other. As Sgt Hulka would say...Relax Francis

Bulto, long-delayed response, but you're absolutely right. Hats off to a thoughtful response when I was being a class-A jerk. Apologies.

By the way, if you're still looking to replace the seatcover, the ones available on eBay from Thailand are 100% exact copies, they even have the seat pebbling and correct stitches; the "CR" logo is perfect, too.

Just be sure to order the cover for the 500-- even for the 250 cover, they give you only enough vinyl for the (lower height) 125 seat. I gave DJ an extra cover for his '87 250 that I'd bought for my '87 250 and he couldn't mount it for love or money. The 500 cover is gold, though.

Keep the shiny side up and best regards for 2013.
