Hi,
I have tried everything to bleed my front brake line. As I can easily pull the lever to the grip, it does lock the front wheel, so it's working but it feels off, no real control. This started to happen about 2 weeks ago.
I have an aftermarket Polisport unbreakable lever, but tried with my OEM and it's the same.
What I did:
- 'Normal' bleeding (caliper on forks) and pump, hold, open valve, close, repeat for about 1 hour. No air bubbles only fluid
- Rebuild the master with a rebuild set (new o-rings)
- Pushed the fluid up with a syringe, some air bubble came out of the master, but when bleeding again only fluid
- Hanged the caliper higher then the master, bled, only fluid not a single air bubble
- Ty-wraped the brake lever to the grip for the night, same feeling in the morning, bled some more, only fluid
I read the YZF brakes aren't great but this seems not normal.
Any more tips? Thanks!
This, and be sure to fully compress the piston into the caliper a couple times if you haven't done that yet. Stubborn pockets of air can get trapped there too
I think you have a slight leak somewhere and the cable is about to go. Really look at tha cable closely.
