Wanting to write an article on Carlqvist.
Heard the story of the beer at Namur. So don’t need help with that.
Heard the story about digging a hole for the bike but can’t seem to find a confirmation on where this was, so if anyone could help me on that.
Also loosing his teeth at a supercross race & laughing about it with Roger Harvey, if someone can help find out where this was.
I could be wrong but sure I heard about him having his finger broken & pulled right back during a race &’he just kept racing?
Any other great Carla stories I’d appreciate too.
I'm pretty sure his loosing his teeth was at a SX at Penrith, NSW Australia, just across the river from me.
He rose like the Terminator, throwing bikes off his, spitting blood, and, I'd say, teeth, if that is the prang he lost them in. I'm pretty sure it was.
I went to the race: it was at the Penrith Panthers Footy grounds. It's still there, has been since the 60s, at least, in a much more glorified form , and it's about to have many, many millions spent on upgrading it. What a f**king waste of taxpayers money that will be. The Club is just about the richest in OZ, yet they are still putting their hands out for Our money, the f**kers.
I found a small poster for the event a while back in the Granny Flat that I built for my Grandad, then my Mum, that's now a storage area for all of my Books and Magazines.
