Trying to adjust the slip on 2019 cobra fwe 50 cc, it’s way too low at about 55. When I put the gear stop in and try to turn the nut, the nut and the bolt both spin. The gear itself doesn’t move but the nut and bolt both spin so I can’t adjust it. I can put the sprocket socket on the other side and hold it to turn it but it’s very hard and I’m afraid to snap the bolt. Any help is appreciated my kid has a race coming soon and I need to get this adjusted to 80ft lbs

Get a buddy to help you back it up and do it that way. Make sure you have good wrenches and sockets so you don't round it off. Also we never could get ours to make torque in either direction, only in the direction it spins when being used. So don't worry about the either direction part in the manual.
One thing we ran into years ago was the cfd would adjust to torque but only hold it for one moto. That means you have hairline cracks in your cfd hubs. (Those little metal disk pieces that sandwich the cfd friction material)
You have to look close to see them!!!
I would've never caught.this if.someone hadn't taught me. These are a wear item and need replacing after awhile.
Also I never knew this until later. The kids that are winning all the races are on a brand new , never fired clutch every moto. Fresh top end too.
Save your burnt in clutches for mud races so they're more forgiving.
I got a rebuild kit coming the nut is as tight as it can be even with the impact so it’s got to be worn down in there. I got it to loosen and bust free and tried retightening but no luck. How far away from the basket should the clutch shoes be?
I think I remember it looking like around 2 or 3 mm
