Elon had told Gavin that things were going to far with these crazy ultra leftist bills like the most recent one Gavin signed with a smile…whereby the state has determined that parents DO NOT need to be informed when their child is CHANGING THIER SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR GENDER AND/OR PRONOUNS…etc.
Lets review…your child’s sexual orientation and decision to change it CAN BE KEPT FROM YOU…BY THE STATE…BY LAW.
This is really about teachers having more control over our kids…which is just fucking weird when you think about it.
Any-hoooo
Elon said he’s had enough.
X is going to Austin.
Space X is going to South Texas where they’ve already set-up shop ultimately for vehicle assy and eventually even launch facilities…near Brownsville (Boca Chica Village).
Let you in on a little secret: these ain’t bad jobs…they’re really good jobs…and…
POOF! They’re leaving.
Thousands of jobs…POOF!
Thanks to the absolutely insane legislature that’s setting our kids up for the states teachers/prized potential groomers and pedos. Yes, I said it. Please, feel free to tell me how this ISN’T a proviso that ENABLES AND PROTECTS THE ABILITY to groom our kids…?
The Gold Rush to California is over
The only enigma in all of this kinda stuff, is how the lefties cannot see the folly in what they are doing. Quite the contrary, they will literally fuck stuff up with their eyes wide open, see the carnage, and defend the decision that made the chaos. Its nothing short of baffling. Its like theres a portion of their brain that flat doesnt work, and they cant help it.
Our oldest daughter and husband (and our first grandson!) live in Waco, SpaceX has a rocket testing facility outside Waco.
Waco was happy to accept them (and the jobs), numerous times each week you can hear the rumbling of them testing the rockets (and it is about 20 miles away). The only restrictions (that I have been told) was they can't test after 9pm or something like that.
But everyone we have been around when they hear the rumbling noises- the sound of jobs and growth and they love it. It's like the sayings RE agents use when showing houses near Luke AFB in west Phoenix- someone comments on the jet noise- "that's the sound of freedom".
California the NIMBY's would have that shit shut down overnight with the noise complaints (which is why he built it in Texas).
The reality that the libs can’t separate their insane policies with the economy is beyond me…and almost worse, they don’t even seem to care…economically speaking, the producers are leaving CA in droves…which means that at some point the majority will be those who consume..and then the downward spiral is virtually irreversible….

"On July 16, 2014, federal judge Cormac J. Carney of the United States District Court ruled that California's death penalty system is unconstitutional because it is arbitrary and plagued with delay. The state has not executed a prisoner since 2006."
Texas had one in February...
I don't know man....Austin is pretty much little California....
The progressive disease has been turning Texas blue little by little.
"Other states are trying to abolish the death penalty... mine's putting in an express lane."
— Ron White
It's quite clear to me that someday there will only be wealthy people living in California. The wealthy, and the dirt poor who serve them.
If you kill somebody here, we'll kill you back.
How many Californians are going to move with them?
If you think this bill is bad, you should see some of the ones we already have about minor's rights at school.
The short answer is most people would move with that kind of job, it wouldn't mean much for the locals other than exploding their local home values even more. SpaceX has very high bar for hiring standards especially for engineering.
Both the X & Space X employees that’re considered “keepers”…& I’m guessing that’s 90% of Space and 70% of X…will be incentivized.
I’m gonna assume that Elon will be “officially closing” his CA businesses …aka “ending any CA corporate operation” and thereby having people rehire to a Texas corp and incentivize that transition, also. The only way to get Gavin out of your life is to official end your California entity. Period.

There will be plenty of X’ers and some Space peeps that don’t wanna go. No worries. There are SO MANY GOOD PEOPLE available in both industries.
As for locales…?
The red dot is the rocket factory and the launch facility is right next to the “4” for Texas Highway 4 near to the beach.
As more companies move from California to Texas more liberals will move as well. They don't leave their liberal thinking in California. Soon Texas will be a blue state and then the Republicans will have a hard time winning another election. When you have New York, California, and Texas blue we are in trouble.
i kinda chuckled about this as well. YOu're leaving California but you're moving to California. Austin is a cesspool of liberal insanity. There are parts of it that look 3rd world.
I'm not sure if it's been signed into law yet, but California was trying to get an "exit tax" in place for just such an occasion. The argument is: "You built your business here, so we're going to tax you for the unrealized gains your company made while here." The tax would be active for up to 10 years after leaving the state. In other words, "You are still benefiting from the momentum you gained in California, so we're going to tax you on your revenue even though none of it was earned in California."
This place is looking more and more like a communist iron curtain every day. Good on Elon for leaving.
That area near the Texas border called boca chica was an amazing stretch of coastline. Glad I got to spend a little time down there surfing/camping before all this bullshit... More jobs are good, and I don't fault anyone for choosing the great state of Texas!
Yes.
one can only hope Silicone Slopes doesn't turn into the same shit show. lot of over night millionaires where I'm at and a lot more on the way.
Not sure if it's changing down there, but last time we were at Boca Chica, you needed to come prepared. If you run out of beer, it's a long way to the store. 😄
