Hey it's Mike!!
It's now May 8th, and in two weeks I will begin the AMA Motocross Championship series at Prairie City Motocross (Hangtown) in Sacramento, CA.
The last month has gone well, I rode a lot of local REM races at Glen Helen, and sorted out some issues with my bike, and with myself .
My bike is good now, and I am happy with my settings. I feel like I am riding close to my potential at this very moment and my overall fitness has exceeded my level from the previous season.
The AMA Motocross Championship series will begin on May 22, then the series takes a break and the USGP will be coming to America!!! It will be held at Glen Helen! One of my favorite tracks. I feel very honored to be able to race it for America! I am going to have a lot of fun doing this race!
Everything seems to be coming together now for me in these last few weeks before the season is to start.
I would like to give thanks to my team, my family, and my girlfriend Danielle for their support over the past months. As I am aware, it has not been an easy road ...to say its been bumpy is underststatement.
My plan is to put forth my very best effort in every moto of every race this season, and then let the cards fall as they will, while enjoying every race from start to finish.
My speed is good, my bike is good, and my fitness is also good. I am healthy and healed from all my injurys from the last season, and this pre season ...I am feeling ready!
Yesterday I signed a contract to do the SuperX Series in Australia with the race promoter Mal Peters in Las Vegas.
The first race will be October 16th in New Castle! The SuperX Series has become a very exciting and fun program and I am very excited to be apart of it later this year.
Everything seems really good and positive for me again, and I am excited for the future.
