I have a 2024 FC350 with 29 hours, I noticed a crack on the left foot peg area where it’s welded to the frame. Anyone had or heard of others with this?

Can you take another picture zoomed out a bit so we can reference what part of the bike? Thanks

Damn that sucks,  is it from riding or rock or crash damage?

Looks like it could be welded up

Unknown, I bough the bike used with 24 hours.  just put new pegs on Wednesday night and the bare spot was still painted, the damage had corrosion in it so it might be a factory defect.
Thanks for your input.

I had the same issue a few weeks ago.  23.5 fc 450 with 50 hours on it.

Holy smokes! The chain tension is a problem where it binds up.... wonder if that is the culprit???

I'm not sure this would be related or something that could influence the cracking, but I read somewhere that the chain has to be real loose on these FCs - more than the normal 3 fingers gap on the chain guide, as in if the chain doesn't look loose, its not loose enough.  Not sure if that could cause some strain in that part of the frame or not, but it is odd that more than one person seems to have had the same issue.

also possible when guys start removing engine mounts/bolts or loosening the bolts, or using super flexy engine mounts... which can cause the frame to flex or have higher stress in different areas than what it was designed

Well this is scary. Guess I had better keep an eye on my ‘23 350 frame.

Well that sucks but you have no idea if that bike has been doing 125 footers off dunes and such. If it was chain tension issue which I doubt it would be the other side cracking. I’ve cracked quite a few frames in that area and it was from monster casings and over jumping imo.

A Modern 450 should be able to huck 100+ footers in the dunes all day without worrying about the frame coming apart…

It all comes down to it’s a used race bike.
