My bike is a 2007 KX250f.

I'm looking to make it turn better, and have a chance to get RG3 20mm offset clamps for a good deal.

Right now, my setup is stock. Sag around 95mm and forks raised up in the clamps to the 2nd marker line to weight the front end as much as possible. I've experimented with other sag levels and fork heights in the stock clamps, as well as my own body position and its very difficult to stick a corner- seems like the front end wants to go anywhere other than where I aim it.

As it would be a casual sale with a guy I've never met in person before, I don't really have the opportunity to test them.

Some say that 20mm is too much, and gives up a lot of straight line stability- they recommend 22 mm. I think stock is around 24. I guess I'd prefer great cornering characteristics over straight line stability, as most of the tracks I race are on the tight side.

Anyone have any experience with different offsets for a 07 kx250f that you'd be willing to share?

Thanks

I have a 09 kx450, but I did get the 20mm offset from Ride Engineering. I didn't notice any instability problems at high speed. The new triple clamps definably made the front end feel more planted though, really glad I went with the 20mm offset instead of the 22.

Try running the forks up as high as you can in the stock clamps, remove links out of your chain and run the wheelbase as short as possible then set the sag to 105. This made a big difference on my 09 KX450F.
