Oh BTW: I was at Malcom Smith motorsports last weekend trying to pickup an air filte rthey didn't have for my 01RM and they hads 2 brand new 06 RM250's yes brand new for $3,990!........ As a disclaimer I don't work for them but if you are looking for a brand new 250 2 stroke and want to save some coin over getting a 7k 2010 KTM or 6K 2010 YZ 250 the 06 RM is one of the best bikes I have ever ridden ......shoot if i was working I'd buy one just to have another because the are that dam good.....This is just my opinon of the bike but I have ridden every other MFG's 250 2 stroke, 450 and 250f and for me none impressed me more than the 06RM250!

i was wondering if it was the 09 or 10 with new plastic. but the engine looks a lot for forward to me than 09's and 10. it may be the angle of the pic. but if it is actually moved forward, then there were some engine upgrades in that bad boy!!! Smile

If Yamaha busts out new two smokers with that plastic and EFI its over! THEY WOULD SELL TONS!

How insane would an EFI two smoker be!!!!???

Brakkeman says it was built by VD Laar Racing in the Netherlands. So it's not exactly homemade, but Yamaha doesn't have anything to do with it either. They have some black and white plastic YZ fuel tanks for sale on their site, so I'd bet that they made this one as well. They did a really nice job with it. Hopefully they'll sell it as a kit.

That YZ250 in the YZ250F frame you saw on TSM is a photoshop render that I made a while back. It's the second one on that page. You can still see the hot start lever if you look closely. I also did the CR125 that's posted on the same page.

It's a completely stock '08, '09, or '10 YZ125 with an extremely well-done bodywork conversion.
