This may be a dumb question maybe not, but I’m doing a “budget” build on a 2016 yz250 and I found a good deal on a set of wheel that came off a beta 300, basically brand new and I know the axle diameter is the same size front and rear so what I’m wondering is everything gonna line up right using the YZ spacers or are the axles gonna be a different width or something weird and make it not work
Research wheel websites and/or call a wheel builder like TCR or Dubya.
As you state, I also suspect "something weird" in this pursuit.
Good luck!
So far this bike has been nothing but “something weird” what was suppose to be a quick and cheap flip has now turned into a complete ground up rebuild..
It happens.
Be sure to cut your losses ASAP unless it's a project you truly want to take on.
Kinda glad at the same time, been wanting to go through a whole build on a bike, plus out with a broken fibula so gives me something to do lmao. Just trying to learn the ins and outs of bike building
The Shop
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
Now THAT is a solid plan!
Enjoy the project and heal up good to enjoy your hard-earned rebuilt bike (I love late model YZ250 2-strokes)!
chances of them working straight away with the yamaha spacer seems. should be tons of yz wheels available I would think?
