No... A grown man ripped a pair of goggles off another mans head that were NOT his. Why are people sugar coating this as if theft is ok nowadays? Meanwhile there is 2 other live threads on here about "how to not get your bike stolen from hotels" and others saying to "cut off hands" after they just got their bikes stolen... This place is so weird sometimes.

Technically if they are worth less than $900 its not really theft any more in the US right?
The promoters owe the athletes basic safety at a minimum. So... At the very least the person should be banned from ANY future Feld or AMA events. The person has proven themselves to not be trustworthy. ONLY after he was caught did he "admit to it" and pulled the St Judes angle.
In the end though.. Its up to Jett if charges are pressed on the actual event and I doubt he cares.
It’s a great thing that the goggles are going to go to a worthy cause no doubt. Realistically in this scenario you don’t want to promote people doing this type of thing for their 15 seconds of fame as it will only lead to things becoming more radical to get said attention.
