Remember Kornel Nemeth? He raced some Canadian Nationals last year. He was the guy who could charge the whole race. Matthes reported on the "Hungarian Warrior" quite often. His secret seems to be public now.
We just had the news over here he was caught doping on at least one occasion in a race last year. I have no idea why it took so long for the tests to be finished. His federation put him on suspension for 3 months. He also lost points from the German ADAC MX Masters round in Gaildorf. Due to being tied in points with Ken Roczen made him lose his title, which goes to Ken. He always seemed to be a very fair guy. Sad, but true.

As the ban is for three months only it is clearly a case of "social drugs" (which even encompasses alcohol !); if it had been performance-enhancing stimulants, the ban would automatically be two years.
Kornel is still runner-up in the series, and retains his Cross Country title, all of which shows just how much of a storm in a teacup it all is.
Kornel is a great bloke, "one of the lads" as we say in English. HE IS "A VERY FAIR GUY", so lay off him.
If they tested at a local race anywhere in Europe, they wouldn't have a winner because part of the fun is to get legless on Saturday evening, then ride it off on Sunday !
And of all the places to test; the race in Gaildorf is financed by the income from the "Festzelt" (beer tent), which stays open from Thursday afternoon until Monday morning !
