You'd be surprised how old some of the modern dirt bike innovations are:

hydraulic disc brake? 1950s.
fuel injection? 1910
aluminum frame? used on bicycles in the 1890s.

You are correct, I love this bike. 2 strokes cc for cc had higher hp then and still do now. So it shows how little progress has really been made in this "new" tech. So the old tech keeps coming back into the limelight. Yamaha has brought this idea back after years. The 2 stroke is coming back and will be the "new" tech again, just like this design of rear facing exhaust did. This one even has a stepper seat. LOL
True story.

Don't you ever tire of the 4 stroke vs 2 stroke thing? Just stfu and ride what you want to ride.

1000 cc 4-stroke snowmobile equals to a 600 cc 2-stroke. Fuel efficiency is higher (from my experience) on the 4-stroke and the overall weight is to much for me.

"Discover the truth at the EPA website- http://www.epa.gov/otaq/marinesi.htm. On this site, you will find E-TEC outboards are cleaner than 4-stokes and much cleaner than any competitive 2-stroke direct injection models. In fact, E-TEC is the only DI(direct injection) approved for use on Lake Constance- the lake with the strictest environmental regulations in Europe."

No, responses like this give me reason. There would be far less posts like this, if people didn't even respond like you do, but they do, everytime. How many dead horse pics have we seen. There are a lot of dead horses laying around. LOL Since rule changes are happening all around, it's obvious the whole movement is working, I wait to see how many posts we start seeing from people like you that rules aren't fair... Speaking of that, MX7MX hasn't been around since "something" happened.

It's much like when I was here and the other forum posting about how the economy was gonna crash and people similar to you said over and over, never gonna happen, dead, and whatever else. Ask Trinitite about that.

...we want to be free to ride our machines without being hassled by The Man....

Some people need to lighten up... it is about fun after all.

Many of the two-stroke faithful only want to have a fairness that allows at least some manufacturers to build the bikes they want to buy.

It also helps to have fair rules across the board. Unfortunately the rules have been set up so that it is unfair against the two-stroke. (statement disclaimer - speaking about Pro Motocross ONLY)

All of the two-stroke fans would stop posting stuff like this when the rules are set up to be fair.

Some have said, but what if they make the rules equal displacement and the two-stroke still gets beat? That is called competition and not one two-stroke fan that I know of would be upset....

Hey just throw the two-stroke fans a bone... in Pro racing add 25cc's to the 125 against the 250F and let the 250 two-stroke add 50cc's to compete against the 450F's....

The point is start doing something to eliminate the enormous handicap given to the four-stroke!
