I bought it from a local guy I've know for about 25 yrs, he was selling it on ebay. He was not real happy to let it go for 1725.00

Good lord....I don't mean to share too much....but that thing gave me wood. My dream is to build an '81-'83 RM125, an '82 RM 250 and a Maico Mega II 490. I look at them on ebay every chance I get.

that's funny stanford421 I have everybike you want in my garage right now, except the RM 250 is a 83 model. Did I mention Stanford is my last name YIKES !! I'd sell the 83 RM 125 for not much more than I have it. I'm in the middle of building my 83 RM 250

Thanks Lee, I was digging around on your site last night. I Love the story about your son racing an 81 against the 4-strokes. I never get tried of reading stories about guys racing these 1980's bikes against the new bikes. I think you'd have to agree, the 1980's was a great time to be racing.

Hey, Pipe. This is an interesting Maico with Magoo here from your photo gallery. The tank is a 78-79, the sidepanels look like cut down 79's, the forks look like the 80-onwards 42mm version, and the frame around the back by the shock mounts looks like an 80-81, but the bike doesn't have the 'broken back' look of the 1980 Mega 1. Strange!

You know, it's really sad that I don't know you but based on this I already hate you. <img class= " title="Laughing">

Can you post pictures of the other ones as well?
