The memotocross site has the final standings chart . That site is a great resource.   I'll be following this as I have been interested in learning more about motocross in the 50s and 60s lately .

Yes ive been using that site for a while now and it gets me a lot of info which is great ive made a ton of stats using memotocross combined with own research. I hope i can find actual Qualifying or complete race results for example in the GP of France held in Montreuil it says that in QA started 12 people but only 8 names & in QB started 11 people but only 9 names and in the Final aka the main there were 16 starters but only 11 names with dots... at the bottom. I also found some ride numbers and some footage on YT from the Imola GP but its a hell of a search haha

PM216, I have a friend who just purchased a 1962 Lito 500. The sales info had a line about the rider, Willi Möckli who I am looking for information on to pass on the current owner. If you are aware, please send me the link so I can chase it down.

Thanks and good luck on the 1957 season data.

That sounds like him.
This bike is a Swiss bike and it is mentioned in the accompanying documentation he won the Swiss Championship, no year. But the bike is a 1962. Would this be online where I can get a link?

Thanks!

There was not that level of detail in the packet. My friend has some contacts over there that he may be able to call. Good news, they speak the language!

This is a tremendous help

(I ran it through some online translator to maybe make this easier for you....)

Det fanns inte den detaljnivån i paketet. Min vän har några kontakter där borta som han kanske kan ringa. Goda nyheter, de talar språket! Detta är en enorm hjälp

Well, guess I was fooling my self! Google has a lot to learn still.

So we followed the link which took us a site for Kuechen Zone (Kitchen Zone I think). There we found Willi's profile and it says something about being retiree or pensioner of 83 year of age. There is also a Manuel Mockli listed. A brief email was sent to Manuel to see if Willi was in fact the previous owner of the 62 Lito. There is a number to call, but that would be a second alternative. For now we will wait.

My friend has a relationship with Gunnor Lindstrom. They were to speak today and he was going to see what Gunnar may recall.

Seeing as you are in the Netherlands, I assume you know who Gerritt Wolsink is. He is the reason my friend bought this Lito. The two of them are pretty good friends. I enjoy listening to Gerritt's stories and tales of old.

I will keep you apprised of the progress and all.

Now how can I help you?

Great to hear i love being kept up to date.

For sure i know Wolsink my granddad went to see him with my dad at several Grand Prixs in the 70s and 80s on his Maïco and Suzuki if i remember correctly he was a dentist as well. My granddad even went on some Grand Prixs in the 60s and 70s as mechanic of some locals.

What i would love to get is more info about the 57 season in particular so just everything theres to find basically i do realize its probably not a lot but maybe with this way i can put together a great Wikipedia page the 1 ive been building in Dutch mostly to visualize it myself but it took off a bit and got several responses already. So you could help me if you find like idk pictures of the first ever Grand Prix in Geneve Switzerland, or even videos or qualy results or full race results instead of the top 8-10. Its ashame back then they didnt do much overseas yet otherwise the americans would have probably gotten some more detailed results just like the entire AMA results are quite easily found even if we go back to 72
