It isn't off season, it's almost Arenacross season. Who will win the AMA (LiveNation, ClearChannel yadda yadda) Arenacross championship? Who will win the BooKoo Arenacross championship?

Cast votes now...

AMA
Kevin Johnson

BooKoo
Jeff Northrop

Call me crazy! Especially on someone beating Lange in BooKoo.

Acctually Jeff, you hadn't released the official news of the team so I kept somewhat quiet. I was bored the other night and wrote an AX preview blog where I predicted Teddy Maier as the AMA Arenacross champion.

I see Tyler Bowers is turning pro and racing BooKoo teammed up with Zach Ames. I think these two will turn some heads and atleast one of them will end up top 5 at the end of the year.

Jarid, Close but his teammate Teddy Maier will bring the numero uno into the Honda pits. But then again I'm the guy saying Darcy is gonna get beat in BooKoo.

Teddy could be the darkhorse. Stormlake has a strong team this year.

I tell you what, the AMA AX series is pretty loaded. I can think of so many guys off the top of my head capable of winning and being in the hunt if they are healthy all season and reach expectations.

Let me list out my predictions once again in a refined order.

Teddy Maier
Kevin Johnson
Chad Johnson
Justin Buckelew
Shane Bess
Daniel Blair (Another darkhorse)
Danny Smith
Greg Schnell
Kody Molitor
Kurt McCabe
Jim Neese
Vincent Blair
Kevin Markwardt (Not sure if he is lites only now that he's on Tuf)
Braden Parks
Jim Chester
Roy Horton
Casey Hinson
Matt Maier

Well... That's 18 guys. A typical AX gate is 15. This means the guys confirmed to be racing, looks like making the main will be tough. I can count atleast 8 guys who for sure could be expected to win at any time. Should be some great racing.

Shoot, add the Sewel brothers, one of which I know qualified at the Millville national. And one of the Pugrab's to the list of confirmed and talented guys.

Man, am I ever glad I realized that I don't quite make the cut for a National AX.
