Thinking of heading down to the Indy SX from Detroit, but since a few of the guys in my crew are a bit wishy-washy, I'm hesitant to buy tickets in advance in case some of these guys bail. I figured we'd just get them on Saturday afternoon when we get there....what are the chances they will still be available?

In all the years I went it hasn't sold out, but I did not go last year so I don't know if the new stadium is bigger or smaller. I would have to bet you would be safe if you waited a little longer.

I go every year and Lucas oil stadium is badass,I would get my tics if i were you,From what i saw it looked like if you had seats in the nose bleed you could still see good,They are having commercials for tread head seats which are up there for 10 bucks.

It's an NFL stadium, with NFL capacity. I don't remember how many seats were empty last year, but it seemed like attendance was good. If they told them some Colts players were going to be there, it'd probably sell out.

Oh, wait...there was that little game in Miami last week...

Go........... you have a better chance of getting a Bob Hannah signed poster at the dealer show than you do of having a sell-out. If you get a poster, have him sign it " to Bauer" and please and let me know? Thanks

ahem... forgot to add the sarcasm tags. Excuse me. Didn't really think i was exclusive with the pile of posters there and how tired he looked of signing them.

He does look tired of signing them. Do you think he does it for the the "show up" money?

It shouldn't sell out, but most of the good seats are probably gone unless you pay big bucks. Its still an awsome stadium and downtown Indy is great too. You should go.

The really good seats were gone when I ordered, and I bought my tickets just days after sales opened. I still got good seats, but a few rows back from the front of the section I wanted to be in.

I'd recommend sitting in the 300 level on either of the two lengthwise sides.

We went last year and we had nose bleed seats. I was amazed how well we could see the race though. The stadium is beutiful and if you dont get tickets early you will be way back. The place was pretty filled up last year, not a sell out but I would say close to it.

I bought tickets yesterday at the stadium. I was surprised that there were still such good seats left.

I'll be surprised if it sells out.

It won't sell out. Buy treadhead tickets and move where you want. The seating Nazi's are no where near as bad as the left coast.

I got tickets. I would like to know what time the pre race activities start, where to get the tickets, and if you can park at the stadium.

Thanks

I to would like to have a schedule so I can plan the day. I know they don't have a pit party and that the doors open at 12:30. Anything else to know for the first-timer?

Lucas is one of the smaller stadiums holding 65,000 where as The Cowboys new stadium holds almost 80,000.

Its to late for half decent seats. We got ours 3 weeks ago and our seats suck. My buddy is calling this week to see if there is any chance of upgrade.

Karma I guess. Last year we where sitting in our seats, talking about how good they were and was joking around about how there probably wasn't a bad seat in the house. Then pointed to this one spot below the jumbotron and said except maybe there. Must suck to be them.

Well my buddy ordered the tickets. He called and said you will never guess where our seats are. I couldn't imagine much better than they were last year so I was kinda excited. I'll be damned if they aren't in the same place we was poking fun at.
