I have always been a Kawasaki guy.. Supporting the Kawasaki teams.......

But the TLD team is definatley becoming a favourtive of mine. Seely and Hahn are impressive this year as was the TLD team last year.

A few more years and they will be the biggest challenge to Pro-Circuit.

Hahn looks great on that TLD Honda. He should put it on top of the box soon.

I'd say they're the most improved team so far.

Best "dressed" team in the pits. The helmets, gear and bikes look great. Hahn looks fast with Seely just a few spots behind. Great team.

Challenge to PC?

I don't know, PC does their engines......I have always wondered if that creates a conflict of interest with Mitch if another team is winning on their stuff and consistently beating the PC team

PC is performance first, if their stuff is winning, then they are winning. The team is 2nd, picking the right riders is second on their list. More of a gamble, like Hansen for instance.

hey lofty, I used to work in kingman a couple years ago and rode at cerbat, which kinda sucked but I wanted to ride out at that bmx/moto track out west of town on the hwy that goes to bullhead(i cant remember what its called but it looked sick)any word on that track, is it still around or what? I'd love to ride out there cause I will be heading to glamis in april and im staying in kingman for a day or two on my way there!

Ping needs some career guidence..... it's selfish of him to move on to another career when a few hungred people enjoy his wit and appreciate his mastering of the craft "MX Team Manage" If someone would pay him a fair income he might reconsider. Joking aside the team is doing great and many readers follow him at Racer X. I think he is frustrated with the MX industry and looking to build a stable career..... can't fault him.

I kinda beg to differ, everyone has the option to ignore things and if ping has the wit and persona to manage a fantastic team im sure he has the brain to let things go too...thats where people like us come into play, to pump him up and give him the push(if needed)to keep on keeping on! I see great potential in this team and with the economic bullshit going on I really hope this team stays around for a long time!

This all boils down to the mean green...... TLD runs their team on a shoe-string budget and Ping is a contributor at RacerX.

Supporting Companies....Lucas Oil, American Honda, Red Bull, Wings for Life, PPG, Seaspan, Alpinestars, Avia, Couts Heating and Cooling, Dunlop, Epic Cameras, McQueen Racing, Oakley, Pacific Collision, Pro Circuit, Rossignol, Santa Cruz, Selle Italia, Skullcandy, Cornwell Tools, Cycra, Leatt Brace, Light Speed, Muc-Off, N Style, Nameplate, ODI, QTM, Talon Hubs, Renthal, RK Chain, Twin Air, VP Racing, Hinson, Flexfit.

With all these companies supporting the team I dont understand how the money could be that scarce?

Who knows, maybe he just want to do something new? Maybe he's burnt out with MX. But either way, Ping is an alright guy.

Definitely seems they are much more laid back compared to other teams. Awesome for them and wish them continued success this season!

Thanks for all the nice words, guys. This team is definitely here to stay. Troy's designs and style are unequivocally the best in the sport... just look at our bikes and gear if you doubt that. The mechanics and crew are amazing and extremely passionate about racing. As far as the budget issue, consider this: Our entire budget for the season is roughly $1,000,000. That includes staff and rider payroll, travel, entries, hard parts, etc, etc. That isn't a bad chunk of money [go out and see how easy you can drum up a million bucks right now]. But teams we are competing against [Pro Circuit, FCR, Star, KTM] have the financial support of the manufacturers. Honda helps us a ton but not with rider salaries. Those teams spend close to a million dollars on rider salaries ALONE. We have to focus on making our equipment and our program as good as we can and hoping that we can get the very best out of the riders we can afford. So far, so good. The biggest step we've taken is getting Townley for this summer. He is going to be amazing.
I love this sport and will always be involved at some level... probably with Racer X. But I've got something else that I'm passionate about that will provide me and my family with much more stability than anything in this industry. Plus, if all goes well, I can finally get that championship I've been after in the Fire/Police nationals. Smile
