Just before the start of the Freestone National last year, Alessi was sitting alone at the gate, no umbrella girl. Just a man with a mission and the look in his eye that told you he was ready to do some serious damage. Too bad he did a whole lot more damage the following Monday after tearing it up on Saturday at the nats. Hopefully the KTM will be ready to go and he'll be focused again this year. I'm already looking forward to some real motocross. This SX circus shit just ain't doing it for me.........

Bummer he could keep the good vibes going at Suzuki, he sure looked good on the yellow scooter.

Everybody seems to look better on the yellow bikes since RC brought them back... I think mikey has a shot outdoors, a very long shot, but it's possible, imo.

He definately won't be at a disadvantage on the Katoom. IMO one of the best machines out. Caroli must also think so, as I'm sure he could have signed with just about any team he wanted. The first few races for the World title should be awesome.

It sucks that he has gotten so much shit and disrespect over the years from a lot of people. With all the drama that is going on in SX, I think it just goes to show how much of a dedicated and passionate rider Alessi is. At the end of the day he just wants to ride his dirtbike and win championships. He is definitely one of the last "old school" riders left. And this is coming from someone that wasnt really much of an Alessi fan.

Mike was at Bostwick Creek on Saturday on the new 350 and looked really good! I have a few pics if someone can tell me how to post them.

I honestly can't wait for the heat, the sun, and the wide open factory bikes come outdoors. Supercross is good and all, but nothing beats the outdoors for the sheer core of the sport! It's gonna be a wonderful outdoors in my opinion. You'll have MA, RD, RV, CR, JG, AS, MG and also Weege and Bailey back!

I think Alessi may fall into the same group as Bradshaw, Lusk and Windham: Best to never win a title (outside lites sx). I hope I'm wrong because I really do like the kid but don't see him beating RV. I can't wait until the outdoors and it will be even better if Stewart can race.

Well said. SX is a nice show and all.........but nothing beats an AMA National. Standing there a few yards from the track listening to those 4-strokes bouncing off the rev-limiter right as they haul ass by you.......and if your lucky you get sprayed by their roost.......to me that beats standing in some crowded ass stadium while the drunk asshole next to you spills his beer all over your feet.

It will be interesting to see what happens. I don't think he'll be racing a 350 outdoors. Remember the old drag racer's adage, there's no replacement for displacement.

Going to have to agree with you and Newmann, MX is where it's at. Although this looks like the best SX season in years.
