In everyone’s experience, what size machine would I need for parts the size of regular dirt bike engine cases? I bought a vapor blaster, but am hesitant to use it on cases until I know I can absolutely get all the media back out of them.

Probably a 30L. The 15L I have, barely fits CR 250 radiators. If you go to Amazon’s site, look up the ultrasonic cleaners. There’s dimensions provided. At least for the Vevor ones there is.

This is the one i run, the 30L, I can dunk a full rack of carbs off my in-line 4 motors with room in the tank to spare... works great.

Well, a 6 part distilled water and, 1 part Simple Green worked a lot better. I heated the water to 130 degrees. I rinsed everything with distilled water as well. No white shit all over the hardware the following morning.

I’m going to purchase metal specific cleaners as I think they’ll do a slightly better job then  the Simple Green. Still learning...

Just a heads up...

Just purchased  the 30L for 200 bux.  Black Friday yanno.

Have to be a Amazon Prime member. I am not, although I joined for the 30 Day free trial but will cancel before my card is charged.

I have noticed that simple green will "etch" (not sure that is the correct term) aluminum if it is left on too long or not diluted enough.  Not so much in an ultrasonic cleaner, but using it for bike washing.  Glad you got it figured out.

Etch is correct. I’m just glad I had enough sense to use a bunch of old bolts to “practice” on. The steel bolts etched using the cleaner as well. The few  aluminum washers I tossed in, didn’t show anything.  I would’ve been pretty upset if I used it on newer hardware or, more important parts.

I wish these things came with some type of cut sheet to show estimated run times, temps and, what solutions/ratios to use on different types of metals. The first run, I used equal parts of filtered water and, Simple Green. That was way too caustic.

If you don’t mind, could you please post up some pics of the parts you clean along with, the cleaning solution and, mix ratios you’re using?

We've been using this for brass. Have cleaned as many as 200 rifle rounds with one batch.

It's concentrated, so one quart will make 10 gallons.

We use recommended ratio, 40:1 I think, distilled water, at about 130 degrees for maybe a half an hour.

Never tried it on anything but brass though.

So I just got this cleaner. It's actually called an ultrasonic vapor decreased. It's pretty bad ass. The basket is not very big. I'll post later. It actually heats the fluid to create a vapor (so I've read) and also has a fluid tank with ultrasonic transducer. It's all automated. Operates on 240 and 80psi. I have to do some research about the fluid. It's about a 2ftx3ft footprint on the floor and a bit under 4ft tall.1000002260.jpg?VersionId=GGZG9gVt2uZFw92tHH

Needs 5.5 gal of fluid and the actual ultrasonic bay is only 8inx10in and 6in deep.

Just don’t go cleaning the wife’s jewelry in that thing. End up rattling all the 💎  off it 😂

That’s an awesome piece of equipment. It has a recirculating pump and, canister filters to remove particulates.
