I know some of you guys have the same love for hunting as myself. Figured I'd start a place to post up your pics and hunting stories.

Season is open in Texas where I live, but my lease is in Arkansas so opening day for rifles is Saturday. I can't wait! I haven't had anything great on my camera yet, but that's just part of the allure of it for me. I absolutely love sitting in the deer stand or duck blind and enjoying sunrise, sunset, and nature at its finest. Post up y'all's stuff, doesn't even have to be dead game. Can just be some of those gorgeous pictures of your mornings or evenings!

Good luck to you guys, hope you bag that special one you've been salivating over!

Very little action for me so far . I'm headed out to camp in the morning til Sunday. I tried a new spot last weekend and had this little one hangout for a little bit . This is our last weekend of bow season, then gun opens the following weekend.Screenshot 20231109 202823 WhatsApp.jpg?VersionId=d wa1aDwUFzEvSPDcRXlL5MzoS3

Bastards have a calendar.

All the big guys go nocturnal a couple of weeks before rifle season.

Probably all the knobs waiting until October to start feeding.

Same as it ever was.

Watch rackzilla all summer, and see basket rack all season.

Been a "shitty" year for me if you base success on killed animals.  First time in a LONG TIME that I don't have a fresh Elk in the freezer.  Should have enough left over to make it through til next year though.

On the Deer front, I had some self restraint this year holding out for a nice Muley...that has also lead to potential tag soup unless I head North to hunt white tails this month.  Kinda bittersweet cause I passed up several decent 4pts that I'd normally shoot but you can't shoot a big one if you shoot the smaller ones!

Kinda funny how different hunting is for all of us, the way I hunt compared to ya'll pictures has about as much in common as dirt track racing does to extreme enduro!  Not saying either way is right or wrong, or better than the other.  Just different.

Seen a couple big boys on this ridge before. But in this country, seeing and killing are two different ball games.

The deer around here are so domesticated you could hunt with a .38. Absolutely no sport in hunting them around here.IMG 7668 0

They don’t even run away when we approach them. IMG 1221 1.jpeg?VersionId=nr4ifokIG8x4LIrCuEsOztvBBcCSya

Started walking in at Grey light and saw a slammer hauling across the cut corn 50 yards from me . Saw a couple spikes out sniffing around . Our gun season starts next weekend.
