Always ran stock plastics but if I went aftermarket plastics does the graphics company need to know which brand I went with or are all the plastics the same ?

Sometimes, especially if it's a restyle kit.
Cycra often has differently shaped number plates and stuff like that.
It varies by bike brand and plastic brand...   How close did they make their mold to the original on that year for that bike?

Some of the graphics shops ask you what plastic you'll be running, so I assume they have different cut-files for each brand.

I just bought a GasGas and put Acerbis plastic on it before I rode it.
The local place (Fusion Graphics) did a set of numbers for me and they went on without any trouble.

I'm pretty anal about working on stuff; I almost always end up trimming the graphics a bit to make them fit the way I like, or to prevent them from peeling up at the edges.   I trimmed about 1mm off of the back edge of the left number background.

I’ve ran tons of UFO and Acerbis and never had to mention it, The UFO stadium plate utilizes the stock graphic unlike the Cycra stadium plate which was nice.
