I started a topic on this about the DOJ intimidating witnesses because yesterday they asked the judge in his failed appeal to a conviction to immediately order him to prison.
He testifies on Monday and the DOJ did this on a Saturday, it’s reported the DOJ has never done this before.
I can’t find the topic I entered. Maybe I made a mistake but I doubt it.

You have to understand that it is all about power. The establishment has Biden and he knows it.
He can be and do everything that they claim Trump is/was. The establishment needs Biden to stay in power.

I think you're too caught up in all the excitement over the GOP's manufactured outrage to see things clearly.
The DOJ sent that YESTERDAY…SUNDAY…July 30th…& it’s a follow up…to the 7/29 letter that everyone is talking about.
WHY did DOJ need to send that letter out …on SUNDAY…?
To push back against Republicans who - in their continuing attempts to denigrate the DOJ (and FBI) in the eyes of GOP voters - were all over television screens and social media planting the theory that it was a deliberate ploy to get Archer out of testifying before congress.
You'll notice the DOJ have felt it necessary to voice their concern several times recently about the picture being painted by the likes of Jordan and Comer and Ted Cruz, none of whom offer any real political value other than histrionics and provocation.
Below is the 7/29 letter, sent just four days after the Second circuit confirmed the original conviction which Archer had appealed (continuously):
'Request(s) that the court set a surrender date for the defendant to report to a facility designated by the Bureau of Prisons to commence his term of imprisonment...
In light of the foregoing, the Government respectfully requests that the defendant be ordered to surrender, at a date and time determined by the Court, to a facility designated by the Bureau of Prisons to commence his term of imprisonment....
Counsel for Mr. Archer will put in a response to the Government’s request by Wednesday.'
Nowhere does the DOJ suggest Devon Archer should be imprisoned immediately, or imply that he cant testify.

An "Order to Surrender" CONVENIENTLY sent to the court ON FUCKING FRIDAY 7/29/2023...just in time to try to NOT make the typical news cycle...just in time to potentially fuck with his upcoming testimony...

I agree they didn't do themselves any favours with the timing of the letter, but only because it left their intention open to misrepresentation by people desperate to undermine them.
Devon Archer was convicted in 2018 and has evaded serving jail time ever since by lodging appeal after appeal. His latest appeal was rejected Tuesday of last week. The DOJ requested 'that the court set a surrender date.' They specified that 'Counsel for Mr. Archer will put in a response to the Government’s request by Wednesday...' which clearly suggests they weren't expecting him to be summoned before today (31st).
It shouldn't matter when they send the letter, but Republicans - ever the victims - will always jump at the chance to spin perfectly normal procedural practices as underhand or nefarious. It seems like the DOJ have decided it's necessary to start correcting the record.
Archer is already looking at a year and a day in jail, and now he's going in to give testimony about additional acts of corruption he and the Bidens committed together?
Makes you wonder why Biden didn't push for his DOJ to plea him out instead of jailing him. I guess his appearance postponements was for Biden to make up his mind on what he was going to do. Hard telling what we're going to get out of this.
Still wondering why Joe Biden weaponized the DOJ against his own son and has not committed to pardoning his own son if convicted. Odd.
