Does not seem too far away from today.....

"The e-REX is 55% smaller and 70% lighter than any 4-stroke ICE, thanks to a design that is devoid of crankshaft, valves, camshaft, or cylinder head."

"it has to be silent and run smoothly to not disturb passengers"

Count me out.

In a bike, I want BRAAAAAP.

In a car, I want V8 roar.

Well! if it increases performance, is lightweight, sounds cool and the exhaust smells like bean oil, I'm all in.

The interesting situation on how this engine would almost do away with Crank/Flywheel effect during cornering.

But it's still a 2 stroke. Just because the swashplates have two peaks per revolution doesn't change the amount of cycles happening per stroke of the piston. This is a very cool modern take on a concept that's been around for over a century (axial engine), it's a shame they felt the need for the 1 stroke marketing bullshit.
