He didn't put Sexton in episode 1 for the 2023 preview, noting that Tomac, Anderson and Webb were all past champions and Sexton was not. But you could argue that Jett could be coming in next year even more qualified than Sexton did this year, provided the rest of this year goes smoothly.
I think next year's episode 1 could be Sexton, Tomac (hopefully), and Jett. But it's a tough call to exclude Webb.
It was Weege who put him in the 2nd episode. And he explained that he though Chase was a title contender but wanted to create more interest in the 2nd episode. And I don't think anyone gives a shit.

I heard what Weege said as well. But the point of the first episode is that's the 3 biggest title contenders, is Jett in that 3 was my point.
If he keeps beating Cooper outdoors (yes, I realise it is outdoors) and Cooper switches up teams next year I can’t see how he doesn’t put Jett in there.
Last I checked, we're in early July of 2023.
