Calgary is such an awesome facility. Right in the middle of the city, something for everyone there, too.
Looks like a great facility wish it was in two weeks as I’ll be there then haha. Gonna try and go next year if they do it there again
Thanks for the good updates Mav.
If you don’t have RydeTV you should
Glad Ryder had another awesome race! Good to see Maff ( Maffenbeier ) put in another solid ride as well! Thanks for all of the updates Mav!!!! 👍
Calgary Alberta. Population 1.2 million. Mx Track 5 minutes from downtown. Awesome. Best Alberta Motorcycle shop 1 minute from track. Don’t know anywhere, else such a facility exists in Center of large city. Congrats Calgary & Wildrose Mx Park. 🍺🤠👍🏁 Thanks Maverick for the commentary. Track turned out good shape.
I know he's American, but it'll be interesting to see where he fits in at Red Bud.
So the Benoit talk of him racing a 2T earlier on- There was a rule change and 250-2T can now race against 250-4T, is that correct?
is this just in Canada, or AMA as well?
You can race a 250 2T in the 250 class in Canada, but there are restrictions.
You're not allowed to race a 250 2T in the 250 class in the AMA Pro Motocross Nationals.

@maverick thanks for the information. Appreciate it.
It’s really too bad that the KTM 250 2T wouldn’t hold together for Benoit. I was under the assumption it was a DI or Atleast SDI (like the e-tec), but it’s still a case-reed engine. Interesting. You’d think they could easily remedy the issues with a bit richer fuelling map, and/or dialling back the timing a bit. But what do I know
I always have liked Mitchell and seems like a pretty humble racer. Figured his results would have been better in the States but cool to see him ride. Maybe arenacross would be a good fit for next year.
Posted knowing full well I'm probably the only one who's noticed or cares, but it's kinda silly the WMX rules don't allow for Supermini's- I mean, Eve Brodeur and a few of the other riders CLEARLY have it covered, but for a lot of the other riders the 250f is a pretty big bike- some of them look like I imagine I would trying to muscle a giant ADV bike around the track. The disparity of speed in that class is actually a bit concerning. I think allowing the 19/16 class in might help some.
Pit Row
I wonder if those graphics are available anywhere? Blackfoot Honda was likely the best team ever in Canada and looked amazing with those graphics and the matching m2r helmet. The Thor gear of that era was also some of the best.

Yup, good ol' days...
Ooops, that first pic was RC - sorry everyone!. Here's a couple of JSR:
Above at Calgary probably in '04, and below at Hangtown definitely on the '05.
That’s a classic pic of Dusty 👍
