I’m doing a front brake upgrade to my YZ450FX and decided to go with an 07 YZF caliper, motostuff line, and a 2019 Honda MC. All parts are brand new. I was completely unable to get the MC to build pressure, no matter how many different methods of bleeding I tried. I troubleshot every part and isolated the issue to the MC; I am sure it is the culprit.

I swapped my stock YZ MC over to the new line and caliper and it worked fine (but with typical Yamaha sponginess). Has anyone ever gotten a bad MC right out of the box? I think I may just try and rebuild it. Maybe it came with bad seals. After over an hour of trying to bleed the Honda MC, it eventually started spitting out fluid that was blackish/cloudy. I assume it’s seal particulate.

I went through this recently and found out I had the lever pin backwards lol. Make sure it’s assembled correctly. Ball end is to the lever.
