love it!
Thanks 👍
Front fender looks huge. Nice build though 👍
-the fender is bigger than stock, but it doesn't look huge in real life. I took the pics on my phone and it kinda distorted it. The side views kinda looks like a fish eye lens. I wanted it to look like it "belonged" on the bike. I put it on and checked it from many views and angles. You are right...it does look huge... especially at the side. A different camera might help that. Anyway....thanks for the comment.

It still looks really good - brand new. That’s one lucky kid 👍
That looks so good.
Thanks man!!!
Cool build are the side plates white plastic or painted white.🇺🇸🤘 heres my 1984 cr 80 I like 1980s 80cc bikes did u keep any of the original plastic?? 1984 cr 80 next to the 2007 honda cr85 last yr for honda 2smoker🏁
bad ass
Thanks man! I'm glad you didn't enter your 80 in the Broke 2 Built contest...I wouldn't have stood a chance!! That pipe looks awesome! I love your disc swap on the front👍 is that a KLP swing arm on the back? I didn't have the funds to get the gold rims so I went with the wraps.....but I wish I had your rims. Your bike (and the 85) look amazing!!
The side covers are not paint. I ordered them from DC PLASTICS. They didn't offer them in white, but I just emailed them and they said they could do it. They are just a hair larger than stock. I suspect they are vacuum formed over the originals. If you lay it on the stock plates it fits almost perfectly...hence my theory. DC wouldn't be my first choice for a restoration, but if you plan on the bike being riden or you want a different color like mine it works ok. If I did more plastic from them I'd order it "uncut" . Your plastic is as good as the floor worker is feeling any day of the week. I've gotten really good plastic as well as unusable. Also with DC, it's helpful to know how to polish plastic as their plastic is very dull. But for my bike I had to have the white side plates or I couldn't get the XR feel I was going for.
I still have all the original plastic. We aren't getting rid of this CR, it's a family bike. We'll hang on to it all in case someone wants to take it back to stock some day. Thanks for the reply and pics man!
Thanks🤘
Cooleo yeah I use nos oem plastic takes yrs to round up. U end up meeting people all over the globe that are just as crazy as us. And some are worse 🤘When a piece to the puzzle is hard to locate I use Phil Cox at plastic Renovation A true craftsman🇺🇸 at his trade as well as Karl Landrus at KLP racing his Swingarms are works of art.🇺🇸 without using others talents my builds would not have the cool factor that they bring. Also big shots out to Dubya wheels and Bill's pipes. Heres my 1985 Kawasaki sr80 and with credits to same talents listed above. And cmnsl I got a brand new seat and gas tank rear fender nos oem kawi parts over a 1 yr period. a few builds I have gas tanks have never had fuel in them Long live the 1980s🤙finding the plastic first seems to works best then the rest comes together alot smoothly
OMG MAN!!!!! That KX is amazing!!! If they do a 2024 B2B (sure they will) you gotta enter (maybe you already have....not familiar with every name out there) The only problem is I wouldn't stand a chance. I'm so envious of the KLP swing arms....I've wanted to go that route for a long time but it's always come down to cost. His Coke bottles are a work of art!! Those 85 KX 80s were rockets! That was a good year. The CR was no match for that little son of a gun. (As I remembered anyway....obviously a lot of time has passed) I need to practice to get to the next level of building like you. My 80 looks good in a picture (it's not bad actually) but I gotta hone my skills to get a bike that looks brand new like yours do. Not sure what the trick is....well, I guess buy everything new. My 80 was the best bike I personally have ever done. I was glad to have made top 32 and just barely missed the top 15! All the bikes ahead of me had what you have, just a fit and finish that I don't have. I'll try again next year and maybe I can get some tips off people like you to get to that top 15🤘
Never entered any of my bikes didn't know there was a contest. Would be fun 🇺🇸🤘

Here's the link for the top 32 part. Your stuff would make the top 32 for sure and most likely top 15. Your builds are awesome man!
