A good friend of mine broke his back in two places and fractured his sternum.

Look at the back straight at the 56 sec mark. He goes after the table to single and comes up short.

I can never get the embed to work so if someone could help I would be much obliged.

He is walking and is expected to recover.

To be honest, there were a bunch of sketchy riders on that very crowded track...

Hope your buddy is doing ok crash.

Wow I hope he heals up nicely. I can't believe he would attempt to single those TWO separate jumps! No fear.

That track was terrible. It looked like it was designed to let less skilled riders jump some silly obstacles, kind of like a C rider supercross track.

Glad to hear your buddy is doing ok.

I'm just amazed by the "local supercross" track. This shit is dangerous enough without trying to turn every local teen into the next Bubba. Whatever happened to good tracks? Even our local tracks have doubles and triples on them that less than 10 % of the riders will attempt. Bad thing is they are so peaked you can't safely roll them either without going so slow that you are putting your ass in danger of being landed on if someone behind you actually goes for it.

The thing that bothers me about the track is that its designed to encourage less skilled riders to do things that they shouldn't be doing.

The track was well built. This was a local event that a local guy put on for the first time. It was understaffed and there's room for improvement. I don't know if he's going to try it again but it was the best track built at this location. I help administer 3 races during the summer including a race at this location during the County Fair. The guy who promoted this race put it all together in about 3 weeks.

My friend is an A rider. I wasn't there and so I don't know how they arranged practice, but it's definitely a mix of riders from various skill levels. Generally Isha is a pretty even tempered rider and goes after big things in a reasonable manner. I'm not sure if he had cleared it previously or if that was his first attempt. I've only chatted with his girlfriend.

This is definitely going to slow him down some and being in his late 20's he's likely going to graduate to the Vet class with slow old guys like me that plan on going to work on Monday. I think we'll start some riding schools soon.

Just keep him in your prayers as he recovers. Life is full of choices and choices have consequences.....and sometimes they really hurt.

The track doesn't seem too bad. Like some else said a C level supercross track. The only thing dangerous about it is when faster riders start piecing together stuff that’s not meant to be.

i thought the track was cool. i really would prefer to ride a track thats NOT littered with 80 ft doubles and ridiculous whoops.. I like riding on the working mans tracks, the idea is to go back to work monday..
