Hey Guys,
I’m currently riding a ‘23 CRF250R. I ride motocross and flowing woods and I’m really easy on clutches for background.
When I ride the bike, I feel like it’s getting really hot between my legs. Maybe I’m just paranoid but it definitely feels hot. I haven’t lost any coolant at all, no milky looking oil so I don’t think the water pump seal is leaking, no signs of head gasket leaking, no smoke of any kind. Also no excess bubbling when I take the radiator cap off of the radiator and start the bike.
It seems like I don’t really have any symptoms of any sort of issue I can think of. Any ideas on why it feels like the bike is getting so hot or is this just the norm and I’m being paranoid?
Thanks!
Is this your first 4-stroke?
It is not. Just came off a ‘21 YZ250F and a few other 4T before that. I could definitely be paranoid but it feels like the Honda runs hotter! I don’t idle it on the stand or anything for more than like 30 seconds either on top of what I already said in my original post. Could just be going crazy! Everything else checks out.
Paranoid. Full on coolant and oil. No reason to worry. The YZ250F's header design seems to make less heat hit your legs. Same with other bikes.
