Narrowed idle issue down to fuel pump - replace?

Hey guys, I've had an issue with my 2021.5 FC450RS stuttering at low idle. I just swapped tanks with my older 2017 FC450 and the issue seemed to mostly clear up, though it had a slightly higher idle. So should I just replace the whole fuel pump? The inline filter probably has 50 hours on it. The only other part I could think to replace is the pressure regulator valve in there.

The fuel filter on these bikes have been known to crack, which can cause some issues. There is a metal Wix filter you can replace it with (P/N 33095), around $7 at autozone or o'reilly's.

The fuel pump alone can also be changed without replacing the entire fuel pump assembly. Taco Moto Co has some good solutions.

I did that a month ago. The filters are up to $10.99. Thanks Joe.

Thanks for the info! Yeah I think I'll swap out the filter and try to check that regulator before going further. I was watching the Taco Moto co video on the fuel system. Nice to hear from someone who really knows what they're talking about.

For a man old enough to not be able to get a boner anymore, he sure is fucking us a lot.

Kicker, Taco Mike is a super smart dude. He’s also very responsive to text messages if you need help.

I have a fuel pressure tester for the Austrian bikes if you need to buy one for diagnosis. I don’t have a KTM anymore and Taco Moto never has them in stock anymore. Used it once.
