Bought the bike, super clean for its age. Flew around no problem. Took it home and did a few laps in the yard no problem. 2nd day was doing a few laps in the yard and neighbor flags me down. As I am costing towards him the bike prematurely stalls. Clutch has tension but stalls as soon as it's in gear. The cable is working as is the "arm" on the side of the motor that moves when you pull the lever. Where should I start?
I had this happen once with a used rm125. Was the clutch plates worn out.
I ended up having to file the grooves off the basket because the plates were sticking. Put it all back together and good as new!
But I will be ordering a new clutch assembly sooner than later.
