It is awesome but it’s just such a small thing I can do for someone who would otherwise be sitting in the heat all day. It also benefits me too instead of paying the $400 for camping that’s almost already sold out I have passes from someone else who’s racing. Then I’d pit in the pits with the privateer make sure there’s cold drinks and healthy food on top of doing something for them like getting them a fresh set of tires on my dime.

I feel like I’ll benefit just as much as the privateer. Then when he needs tires changed or wants to go watch another practice thanks to DC I have a pass to get around in my golf cart and the privateer can benefit from that also. I have a video camera that I can record qualifying for them also that they can watch between qualifiers and can also video other riders to try and help them out. Before my injury I was a riding coach so I can help them as much as they’d like but won’t over step any boundaries they don’t want me too. I feel like it’s a win win. I’m get to do what I love to do and they also do and have a little extra comfort in their day at no cost to them.

Good on you man. This is just another reason to love the sport. I would have gladly taken you up on this offer but just got injured and now missing round one.

Sorry to hear that. I may hit one more round. I just moved to Arizona and right now I have someone to drive me and help me set up the rv. That’s the biggest thing I couldn’t do this on my own. Also without the help of DC and if I were not able to get a golf cart pass I would not be able to do it at all. I see DC getting bad press in the Glen Helen form and I’m a nobody and just sent him a e mail asking for a handicap sticker for my golf cart and as busy as that man is he replied within 24 hours or less and gave me his personal cell to make sure I can have everything go as seamless as possible. He doesn’t know me from any random fan/racer but we’ve talked in the past and he’s a very stand up guy!

send me an e mail and if my budget allows maybe I can meet you when you heal and do the same for you. The biggest issue is I have a fifth wheel so if needs to be towed by the truck and sitting in a vehicle my legs go numb a couple hours into a trip. So If you’re somewhere close and I can find someone to drive me and maybe split the diesel bill with me I will be able to help you out. My rv I have enough room to sleep two riders and two mechanics any round I can afford to go to that’s close enough.

Heal up soon but keep in touch.

Very doubtful but hangtown is about the same distance from me. If the weekend doesn’t kick my ass too much I may be in for the following weekend as my friend wants to go and split diesel with me/drive for me and with all the positivity on here if I can help I would love too!!!

but one foot in front of the other still trying to find a privateer for the first round.

Looks like I should have reached out a bit sooner. I have two guys that e mailed me that would like the support for the second round. Not sure if I can physically or financially make it happen but it’s in the back of my mind.

If there is anyone else that’s looking to do the same thing for a privateer I’m trying to do reach out to me and I’ll put you in contact with both guys.

Still hoping to be able to help someone at pala.

Now we just need a privateer to help out and give them a better experience. I remember doing Texas with a u haul no ac and bread and peanut butter. Can’t say it wasn’t still fun but a little ac and a nice bed would have made things better.

That drive from SoCal to Texas in the U-Haul is still to this day one of the most boring drives i've ever made. No music other than the local radio stations, the U-Haul was governed to 65mph, & stopping for gas every 2 hours. At least you had the comfort of the dually Laughing

What ended up happening with that 5th wheel toy hauler after the axle ripped itself away from the frame?

Haha good to hear you’re still out there after that brutal trip. Then the ac not really working in the hotel. Then unloading the u haul with all the parts and things from the rv and then having to load it back up when the rv never showed.

I never got that rv back for months. It’s now sitting at my dads hunting camp.

Also, Dc saw this post and since I didn’t find any riders yet he said he’ll post it in racerhead to gain more traction.

Last chance for anyone who posts on this board to get a little help. If Dc posts it tomorrow on racerhead I’m going to jump on the first guy asking me for help. If I can financially swing the second round I may hit that also I think I stated this.

if any privateers live around the Scottsdale phx area we can work out other things like transportation.
