Fox Raceframe D30 vs. Alpinestars A-4 Max

Hi Guys, I'm looking to buy a new chest protector, and I wanted to see what your opinions are on the Fox ones vs. the Alpine stars (or others) for women. If there are any other girl riders out there, or guys with daughters that also ride, let me know! I'm torn, but want a lighter, durable chest protector for the summertime.

No comments on those two but also check out the Astars A1 Pro and bionic action. They have similar protection to the A4 max for a little less money.

The newer fox chest protectors need better adhesive from the plastic to the foam.   This happened on two of the RaceFrame models.  Stay away!

Alpinestar chest protectors have been great.

Alpinestar chest protectors have been great.  

I’ve had an a6 for like 3 years and it’s been solid.  It’s even been power washed several times.

Alpinestar chest protectors have been great.  

Agreed, fox fell apart within a couple months.  I switched to the astars sequence very happy with the quality.
