Anyone have any thoughts on the Ford Focus? My daily drive is 96 miles r/t and was thinking of buying one for a driver. Let me know if their is any years to stay away from or what I need to look out for. Thanks

They are good cars. But you should look at some Hyundai's. They are really good cars as well and most likely you will save some cash. jm2c

Good car for long commutes. Rotate tires often (every oil change) or they will cup - dont know why though.

We have about 20 of them in our delivery fleet. One has 625,000 miles on the original engine and Trans (manual) We average 350,000 on them.
the 2001-03 are the best years but we have a few 06's that have been good also.

I owned one for a time...but I noticed that at about 75K little things started going wrong with it...electical stuff on the dash, doom lights, power windows little things like that...as far as the motor/trans and things...never had a problem...

Get one without power windows and dome lights, and maybe find a short-cut to work.
