I would do a five point risk assessment with 5 being dangerous.
Kids? 2 points per kid
Self employed? 2 points
No insurance? 3 points
Over 35? 1/2 point
Over 40? 1 point
Over 45? 3 points
Over 50? 5 points
Wife? 1/2 point
Desk job? 1 point
Physical work? 2 points
So if your over 45, self employed, married, with 2 kids....the total points are 9 1/2...which is almost DOUBLE your allowed 5 points. You should not be allowed to own a motorcycle!
I'm married under 30 with a desk job so my total is....1 1/2. I can race without risk. Anyways it's just a thought.

Are you over 40?
GlwasB4,
Your engine has fins....I know your over 45!
I'm just saying we need to be careful especially older guys.
When I practice at the tracks in my area, I go out with the A riders and can hold my own really well(upper 25%). I run, mtn. bike and eat decently all because of my mx background. If there was no risk, I'd probably get bored with it. Even my kids will tell you if you don't crash once in awhile, you're not pushing yourself hard enough.
Bigattack must have aspirations to join the CPSC.
Fucking nannies are crawling out of the woodwork these days.
Pit Row
Not everyone can live in a bubble nor wants too.
RIDE ON!!!!!!!
I turned 40 last year. I'm not even going to bother getting out bed anymore. The world is a dangerous place. Could somebody bring me some food and beer (and maybe some diapers)?
But what should fellow racer do when they see an older guy who is clearing not showing proper judgement? Most old guys never listen....because they are always right. How do we know when were not using proper judgement? How do you not get caught up in the moment of racing? Usually, it's a crash that brings you back to reality and by that time it's too late. Do you leave a note on the guys truck while he is out motoing? Confront him he is being a clueless ass and needs to get off the track? How do you do it?
I just made a motion to disolve the club......... and we had over 700 members a few years ago.
Vet racing is over 50% of the racing anymore.
We (OTHG) are racing at Rynoland this Sunday for those that want to come and race the track.
