Take a chill pill bro, they don’t drug test for those
It's amazing the Bubbamania that goes on with some members on this site, James Stewart was like the Barry Bonds or Sammy Sosa of motocross and needed to take Adderall to have the success he had. Did RV2, RD5 or ET3 use illegal substances in the races and championships the won, never heard they did and that's why I can't understand why Bubba get's a free pass in some of these threads. James Stewart was a shadow of himself without Adderall, but it's like he opened a can of Spinach and turned into Popeye when he did.
Obviously it was an opinion based question that OP had intended. “Think outside of that” Yeah right! This is Vital man! Lmfao
That’s like me saying, RV didn’t get good on big bikes until he got with Baker, RD didn’t start winning until he got with Baker.🤔
James was caught in 2014 using adderrall, so you’re telling me 2002 thru 2013 he was on adderall too!? OMFG 🙀

So you really believe 2014 is the ONLY! year James Stewart was using Adderall. You probably believe Lance Armstrong only used Steroids the year he was busted for them, but not when he was cheating in those prior Tour De France races he won. Fans of certain sports stars will make all the excuses in the world in defense of their favorite people, including the excuse that everyone else must be cheating also, so that makes Bubba doing it ok.
OMFG here we go down a rabbit hole again 🤦🏻♂️
I’m educated enough to know that adderall and what Lance was taking was not the same in any way! Jesus dude
So, it took them 12 years to catch him and he gets caught in his 13th year as a pro!?
Btw, Adderall is for ADHD and is prescribed to 5 to 80 year olds.
Adderall gives a rider the advantage of being able to maintain focus riding at high speeds where otherwise without it he couldn't. That's CHEATING. Without Adderall, James Stewart couldn't compete and win anymore and that's why he retired.
Here is why it's illegal
Adderall has become a popular drug for athletes trying to gain an edge | The Seattle Times
It increases alertness, hence an edge over competitors not using it.
Are you saying James Steward only developed ADHD in 2014, if thats your defense.
Damn my son takes it and can’t ride a dirt bike for shit! Maybe we got the wrong dosage! I’ll have to look into that!🙄
btw, adderall is prescribed for ADHD ranging from 5 to 80 years old. And btw, If James wanted to continue racing and continue taking adderall, he could have, just needed to get a TUE. #education
You think Lance could’ve got a TUE and continued using what he was using and continue to compete? 😂
It's also abused by athletes looking to gain an edge, it's banned in most sports, because just like any other performance enhancing drug it's used to cheat. Whether you are mentally or physically unable to compete at a certain level, that's not the fault of the competitors that are able to naturally compete mentally and physically. RD, RV and ET might have been even faster riders than they already are, had they used the excuse of ADHD and been able to use that to justify using Adderall to increase their performance. James Stewarts performance prior and after Adderall usage proved that he needed it to give him a competitive edge other riders not using it didn't have.
Then why can athletes get a TUE and continue to compete? And you really think the others have never taken anything? That’s pretty gullible and naive. But anyways, you have your opinion and I have mine. Peace ✌🏼
Uh, it’s not illegal if you have a TUE. Stew didn’t file his paperwork and was punished accordingly. Its not like he was taking EPO or Beaver Tranquilizers
I know right, you think Lance could have gotten a TUE for what he was using, and still competed!? 😂😂😂
Right. We are talking about two totally different things here.
Well! Lance Armstrong was diagnosed and treated for Testicular Cancer, so maybe his steroid use could have been attributed to that, since he couldn't produce Testosterone anymore. Regardless! cheating is cheating, look at Loretta Lynns, riders like Mike Alessi and Haiden Deegan racing extremely expensive motocross bikes against kids on substandard equipment to give themselves an advantage over maybe more talented, but less financially connected parents. Ryan Villopoto is a perfect example, Mike Alessi dominated him in the amateurs, but when the playing field leveled in the pros, Ryan Villopoto walked away from him and won multiple AMA championships. Perfomance enhancing drug use is banned for a reason, either athletes are identified and punished for it accordingly OR! you allow everyone to use it with impunity and then we have nothing but a bunch of roided out, adderall ridden Super Kids riding on $ 100,000 factory bikes at Loretta Lynns. Fact is, Bubba needed Adderall to compete and once his Super Drug was taken away, he was done.
It’s really insane anyone but the Ryans could be in the top 2 among these 4. It’s clear as day the Ryans are 1-2 and Tomac/Stewart in whatever order is 3-4. 4 SX Championships each compared to 2 each for Stewart and Tomac. 2 MX Championships for Villopoto and 3 for Dungey. 1 MX Championship for Stewart and 4 for Tomac. Tomac raced against Dungey for 4 seasons and didn’t beat him for a single championship. Stewart raced against Dungey for 6 seasons and didn’t beat him for a single championship. Stewart was 24 when Dungey entered the 450 class. 3 years younger than Dungey was when he won his last championship.
You know Stewart never stopped taking adderall right? What did in Stewart imo was concussions, the last being A1 2016 where him and Dungey came together. Never the same after that.
Just like a real race, James keeps inching away!🤪😜😝
Do you have an article link that shows he was allowed to continue to take Adderall after Stewart came back to Supercross and Motocross. There are many other drugs that arn't banned in sports to treat ADHD and James just happened to be taking the one ADHD medicine that has performance-enhancing effects when there are numerous other options available . You stated that RV and RD had more success after going through Aldon Bakers training facility, are you hinting that they were also using Performance enhancing drugs, while training with him. Ricky Carmichael also used Aldon Baker, do you have any proof that Ricky was using a PED.
Adderall Aftermath: The Implications of James Stewart’s Supercross Ban - Prindle Institute
Pit Row
Maybe on Fantasy Island, but not in the Real! world where Ryan Villopoto Dominated Motocross and Supercross Championships, while James Stewart was lining up at the same Gate.
Dude, nobody including you has proof of what when down or what didn’t go down in any of their lives. The only fact we have is James didn’t fill out the right paperwork(TUE) to use Adderall. Whether it helped him or not is not the issue, James’ only fault is not following procedures in getting a TUE. That simple. No need to over complicate it because no one has proof. DC even said on James podcast that the whole situation was handled very poorly by the FIM who’s not even associated anymore.
You said he continued to use Adderall when he came back to racing, I'm just asking for evidence of that because I've never heard that. Any professional athlete that's ever been caught using an illegal PED could use the same excuse that we don't know what was going on in their lives at that time. I'm just stating that there's no evidence that either Eli Tomac, Ryan Dungey or Ryan Villopoto ever used a PED for success or was caught and banned for it, but James Stewart was and will forever have an Asterisk next to his name in the court of public opinion as far as whether or not he was the best rider ever, at least not compared to the other 3 great riders in this Poll.
I’m surprised people have tomac ahead of dungey. RD5 smoked him in sx 15’ and 16’. Also still won in 17’ when he was gun shy after a broken neck.
RD5 also doesn’t get near the credit for winning both titles his rookie 450 year. Despite the injuries , he beat the riders that lined up.
also , we’ll never know who took what in regards to ped’s. But if we did , I’d think there would be more names on the list than anyone would like to admit.
If Tomac’s brake didn’t fail in Dallas Dungey doesn’t win that title.
isn’t that the rule? “If Dunges chain didn’t break” blah blah blah
Finally someone with some common sense, I think people forget what an outright refuse to lose Monster Ricky Carmichael was in his early years and by the time he and Bubba started racing each other, he was already starting to plan his retirement and start raising a family, but still managed to beat him in every AMA championship they raced each other for. In their primes, RV, RD, ET, JS and RC racing against each other for a Championship, it would have been a Bloodbath between RC and RV that would probably ended up with one of those two going to the Hospital, but most likely it would have been RV, since he seemed to be more injury prone than Ricky. I'm just amazed Ryan Villopoto bounced back as quick as he did to start winning titles after that Tibia and Fibia break in 2010.
Sure, fair enough. Still dominant pre broken neck. Can’t say he backed into either one of those titles.
That’s another reason I got James over RV RD and ET, he was the only one that had to race the goat, and in the goats prime no less. RC was 25, James was 19 in 2005 when they started racing each other and James still managed to give RC all he could handle especially indoors. I know you guys diminish 2006 WSX he won over RC, but that was an accomplishment. It was 17 races, the only race that didn’t count was Daytona. They all lined up so they all counted, ain’t that what you guys say!? And Ricky has brought that up with how he wanted that title too.
I don’t think RV, RD, or ET would’ve stood a chance against RC either.
It’s hard to say who the best is with these numbers.
JS 98 wins, 5 championships
RV 72 wins, 9 championships
RD 80 wins, 8 championships
ET 95 wins, 7 championships and counting.
These numbers tell me RV wasn’t as dominant as some of you guys say he was. 2011 with RDs mechanicals and he has 10 championships and RV has 7. ET is probably going to have more wins and championships when all is said and done.
You lost me on the drug test, bro....
Thats funny right there, LOL!
