Does it not seem like the American media is admitting defeat and just claiming the Aussies as there own by referring to them as the 'other' AMA team.

South Africa, Canada, Great Britian, Brazil and theres that Clement guy raced a round so that would be Belgium as well that you could claim as part American.

The media says this because all 3 riders on the Aussie team race all year long in the USA, live in the USA, and make their living from the AMA / USA. Besides their passports saying their Australian, all 3 of them hold an American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) license.

All 3 Aussie riders have been racing here in the states/AMA for quite some time now.If it was AMA vs FIM (riders), those 3 guys would be on the AMA team.

They say that about the Aussie team because they are all on one team. The other team's that have Searle, Ratray, Wilson and Balbi on them have other riders from different sanctioning groups.

Where's your head at 6ixeight? No need for that. If us Aussies get up it will be our win. The boys may race in the states and be damn proud to do so but they're still true blue mate.

There are 2 teams of full time AMA riders, and like 40 other mostly FIM teams. Pretty easy to see why they would say the "other" ama team. Can't exactly do that when there are 40 FIM teams to choose from. Though the shading of the comment is still to be questioned.

Lets be honest, Chad, Metty, Bryne all earned their race craft in the u.s, im not affraid to say they are the other AMA team. But go ozzies anyway.

The Aussies are the other AMA team. US accents, Flat bills, bling, drivin' Dodges, payin' US taxes, Floridian cribs ...

Some time in the future, we may see an international race series that brings a good number of Americans down our way to race. Then we can get some Yanks eatin' kangaroo, drivin' Holden utes, wearing Akubras, wrestling crocs ....
