He was being drafted into the military in Iran. it was during the Iraq/Iran war. He was to walk in front of the older more experienced troops. His job was landmine duty.

That's why my wife's family left (via Germany). Her aunt stayed, because they only had a daughter.

Israel might actually be smart and worry more about winning the war then how they look doing it. Our government (and media) cares more about trying to act like we arent being mean or torturing people then actually winning a war. It isnt a fucking sport and you cant win a war that way. We would lose WW II if it happened today. I have no doubt in my mind.

funny thing about Iran. I know the Daily show isn't "news", but they did have a field reporter over there for 3 episodes. Based on the "man on the street" interviews they did, I'd say Iranians know more about America and America's history than most US citizens.

Or the show only used the people who knew alot about America to make you think that way. I saw those shows and it sure looked that way to me. I mean wow...who knew that every single person on the streets of Iran knows English and our history? Crazy shit! Its no different then how Fox and MSNBC cover a protest differently.
