They brought it to buffalo a couple years ago. I couldn't believe the number of people who went to see it.

Surprised there weren't a bunch of rednecks shooting at it.

That's what I would have been doing.

That's the one animal I am most wary of meeting up with in the woods. I had a really close spooky encounter once with a bull, cow & calf that I'll never forget. Not sure what would have happened if they'd seen me. I was in between the cow & calf when I first saw the cow, but off to the side. Gave me the heebies for a couple days.

Just to put in perspective of how terrible their eye sight is. Hunters will often lure A bull in by swaying back and forth with canoe paddles or plywood cut outs over their head to imitate another bull. Their eye sight is complete shit.

This true. Similar to rattling in a deer. Can hold your hands above your head,or grab some branches above your head (mimick antlers) or gun above your head. Basically you are challenging him to a fight. They sometimes respond, and come in to you. Then Boom. Moose jerky, sausage, for winter. Wasn’t drawn this year. 100% will be drawn next year. Yahoo…. Moose season starts last week of September, until October 30. 🤠🤠🇨🇦
I had cool encounter hunting moose in Northern Alberta. Late fall day, and we were in a swampy, Muskeg like area. I could hear some wolves in the area. I decided to track the wolves down and see what all commotion was about. When I arrived closer, the wolves (6 or 7) were circling a calf, and the cow was 50 yards away. They were going to take the calf down. However I startled a nearby wolf. The wolves fled. The calf lived another day. The cow/calf slowly walked into the bush. It was a cool moment. Nature can be harsh. 🥃🥃🥃🇨🇦

Maybe Boris and Natasha will chime in too, they to have an ongoing moose and squirrel problem of their own.

Best post of the year. Yes, I realize it's only February.

Run him in the chute and flank ‘em, I’d try it! 🤠 Every year on the Navajo Nation they have a Buffalo riding. While I’m done/retired from riding bulls, an invite to get on a Buffalo would make me come out.

Something tells me he’s had that Buffalo since it was a calf and has been working with it for a long time.

Good gravy that's a powerful animal. Made me wonder how fast they run in normal conditions. Around 35 mph apparently.
