I’ve only been to Mercedes Benz stadium but this year I’ll be at Atlanta, Nashville and Zmax. Is there a way to get inside the speedway at Atlanta or the Nissan stadium in Nashville during press day? I’ve looked at the VIP experiences and that’s not out of the question but I want to try to meet some peeps. Not necessarily riders but I’m old so most of the ones I want to me won’t have tons of followers.

just wanted to ask. Thanks for the replies.

You are most likely going to need to be associated with one of the race teams. Last time I got in was because I was hosting one of the privateer teams at my house. Its not really a day they let random people in. The security is kind of lax that day, but they are watching the open entrances to the building and to the track/seating.

I'm lucky to have a bit of an in with one of the teams, and I got notice late Friday morning before A1 back in 2020, that they'd be able to sneak me in, and even with the credential I was given, I was getting heat from security cause I was dressed in a polo shirt with my company logo, jeans and a pair of Red Wings. If I had extra time, I would have stopped by OCH and grabbed a moto branded t-shirt, to look the part more. Definitely glad I got to experience a press conference, it's truly a who's who of moto experience that isn't fully captured on the live coverage.

Funny story about the old Dallas sx at Texas Stadium. I worked for the giant freight company that was across the hwy from the stadium. I drove a local 18 wheeler at that time and would make sure I can back to the terminal to swap trailers around press day. I would drive over to the stadium and act like I had a delivery and walk right in. I could sit in the stands or even walk into a suite with my uniform on.

domino's pizza vest and a pizza box gets you right in. Or get a buddy and a carry ladder together.

In the good old days you could just walk right in.

I have a buddy and his mom who got in press day at Atlanta last year. He was wearing a Yamaha jacket and they walked right in. Once they got in they fanboy’d it up and took pics and talked to a lot of riders. Never got kicked out.

Yep.

Was also easy to get into Friday practice back in the day.

Wait in line at the AMA trailer with everyone when it got busy ...

Walk up to the window and they'd ask "Who's your rider?" give them a riders name, then sign your name on the dotted line and they'd hand you a wristband.

Every once in a while they would comment back "Why does Micheal need 4 mechanics?" Smile
