So sorry to hear this news.
Hoping for the best possible recovery for Justin.

What a great community we have, in the friends and family who look out for our riders, and also in keeping us up to date on those we are thinking about.

Best Wishes.

I Heard from his older brother what had happened to Justin a few days ago. I have known him for a long time now and live right acrossed the street from him. I havent been able to hang out with him for a while now becasue he races a lot. And this is very devistating to me and my friends. He is in our thoughts and prayers.

We hope you get better ! ! !

I looked at a youtube video of Justin and he wasnt wearing any neck restraint. Was he wearing one at the time of this crash?

Hi everyone.

I just wanted to post a note here about the fund for Justin. I know some people will be collecting for him at the Brawl this weekend, in order to make things more effective I have worked out with Parick and Rosana (Baja owners) on making it easier. I will be there with my trailer as I am a sponsor of the event and people will be able to make donations at the trailer all day and night. We will also be selling headphones from 2XL with the proceeds going to beifit Justins recovery fund. They will be available at the Skulcandy trailer and we will be making announcements during the day about where to go. If anyone has any questions or if they want to help feel free to email me at drivenagency@gmail.com - Please be aware that when you are at Baja typically your phone does not work that well so if you email I will get the message on my phone much easier. Amanda feel free to contact me and I can help you out when you are at the track.

I wondered this too... I have seen pics of him without a neck brace on. Was he wearing one when he crashed?

Just to remind every one, I am going to be doing some fundraising at baja there for Justin's recovery fund, I will be walking around all weekend in my Justin Weeks Recovery Fund Tshirt that Chas Legue is making for me, Yes I said I will be wearing it all weekend so you guys can find me easily! I will also have a box set up in signup, with a Picture of Justin on it, so if by chance you don't see me, you can leave a donation up there, I will be going around every day, and I will be hitting you guys up more then once, Justin needs all the help he can get, and if it means annoying people to even get a penny out of them, I will do just that because every penny counts at this point, Justin is my good friend and I will do anything to help him. If you cant make it to baja, please donate at www.justinweeks381.com, remember every cent counts. Keep Justin in your thoughts and prayers,

Nowwwwwww for the benefit ride, Myself and A friend are working on setting up a benefit ride to also raise money for Justin, It will be at freelin, probably in about three weeks. Right now her and I are working on getting all the details hammered out, but I'd just like to throw the idea out there so you guys can kinda look at your schedules in the next three weeks and try and keep that weekend open to go ride and help raise money for Justin, there will be more details on this later if you have any questions plese contact me.

Also Trevor Donie has ordered rubber bracelets to raise money for Justin, they will be ready in two weeks, Contact myself or Trevor if you would like to order one.

again feel free to contact me on my facebook, my myspace, or my phone 2486728330

Thanks so much, keep Justin in your thoughts and prayers

New update on justinweeks381.com ... Thank you to everyone. Justin does not feel comfortable wearing a neck brace, but we cannot focus on the what if, only what we can do now. The accident is over and we need to just stay postiive and look for a good future for Justin. There are a million things that the accident could be blamed on but there are a million things that we can do for Justin right now also. Thank you to everyone, god bless.

If you are at steel city or the baja brawl there will be places to donate and raise awareness.

I have not been informed about the Health insurance issue, but with or without it I am just trying to help out the family in any way I can. We have down time in between his sleeping, and when he is getting cleaned up, so I am trying to update and pull people together. Thank you to everyone so much for everything you have done. This support is unreal.

Justin, this is just the kind of news that cuts everyone of us in the sport to heart. We are all pulling for you and know that this just has to come out okay. God made you, he can fix you, so prayer is the strongest medicine right now. You have an obvious gift from him about your ability to ride these machines. He WILL get you back on them.
We can't wait until you are back home in Cincinnati. Be strong, be positive, we love you.

Justin, It was a pleasure to watch you at Loretta's. My family is praying for your full and speedy recovery. Use that same energy and mindset that makes you an aspiring MX star to get past this. Look at what Pourcel was able to accomplish!!!

Maria,
Thanks so much for keeping us updated!

This is Mrs. Wille, I have beenJustin's tutor/teacher for the last 4 years and also a family friend. I know what a determined ,hard working young man he is! I have seen him work hard and recover from injury year after year. He just sets his mind to it and works hard at rehab until gets the job done. I have faith that he will pull through this too!! Please give Justin my love and let his family know we are all praying for him! Tell them to contact me if there is anything I can do for them. I have also been feeding truthful information (rather than rumors) from your updates to his former high school, Amelia. Many of the staff members send their prayers and thoughts.
Please keeps the updates coming, I'll check this site daily.
again, tell Justin I'm thinking of him!!

Maria, about this fund; My friends and I are putting our money together to help him and his family out. Now do we donate to a site or can we just hand deliver this to his house. If you can inform me that would be great.

Thanks
Chris

How is Justin today?? I hope and pray he is feeling ok? I too have had 2 neck surgeries and it isn't pleasant, to say the least. I was in PCU for 2 days and was completely out of it using a morphine pump to give myself medication when I needed it. I was soooooo uncomfortable and wanted to sleep most of the time but everyone kept waking me up.

I tell you this only to let you know what Justin must be going through. Give him his space and let him rest. He needs to recover from this and sleep is the best thing for him. I am sure everyone wants to be around him all the time to show him how much they care, but he needs relaxation.............let him heal! My prayers go out to him..

For sure we completely understand, Every time I leave the room I ask him to do me a favor and I tell him to sleep for me. We all want him to rest but he wants to keep talking. I am on my way back to the hospital right now and I called him earlier and he was in tears, so much pain. I am Justin's girlfriend, but it goes so much farther than that, he is my best friend. As far as the checks go ... I am going to ask Rich and Linda if they are comfortable with putting their address online for people to send directly to the house, if so we will put it on the website and people can go from there.

The Weeks family is a long time family friend and I've known Justin for 19 years. I've been thinking about him everyday. I know his recovery is going to be slow and painful and he will have his ups and downs. I just pray to God how thankful I am that he is alive. I continue to pray for his recovery and thank you Maria for keeping everyone as updated as much as you can! Is he able to move his arms still? Take care!

There is a lot more facts everyone has been asking me for so the information and rumors wont start, I have a pretty good explanation on there. Thank you to everyone ... Please stay posted, Right now hes going through a rough time because of all the phlem backed up in his throat, he cannot clear his airways because his mouth is shut and cannot cough hard because of where they made the insision on his back.
