Hi all I have so questions regarding the clickers and setting the bike up right. I plan on riding in the dessert 100 in a few months and it's mostly silty whoops with some rock hills. Last year my front end would what I'd call chatter on the rock and the bike beat me up pretty good. Any help would be great. I ride a 2022 gasgas 300 ex and weight 190 or so

I got a 22 EX350 and did not like the air forks.  At all.  I felt they were too light weight and let the front end deflect too much.  Swapped in some spring forks and now happier than a pig n shit.  Bike bites into corners now and feels much more confident in the rough stuff.  Probably not what you wanted to hear after dropping coin on a new bike.

In all fairness though, the D100 is a nightmare no matter what suspension you got.  Can't run it plush due to the high speeds rocks waiting to blow you up, but you want it plush to deal with all the rocks.  Whatever you decide on I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines!

Is it "sprung" for your weight?  What air pressure you running? How is your sag?

How fast are you? Do you have a relationship with a local tuner who could give you some clicker/air pressure settings to try? How much testing have you done with various clicker settings?

It's spung for about my weight plus or minus 10 lbs I have not set the sag yet but will before the race.  I'm running 138lbs in the forks and clickers I set to all middle of the road from what the manual said. I'm not very fast last year one lap took 3 hours but I had to stop a lot to help my buddy that had a messed up thumb. As for tuners I know no one. I honestly don't even really know where to start as for messing with the clickers I was hoping some one could kinda point me in the right direction as to where to start for that type of riding I usually do slower stuff like Walker valley and goose Creek so the dessert stuff is all new to me

Pc thanks for the reply and the cheering on. I like the suspension all the other places I ride I am hoping to just make it a little nicer with the clicks

Hello,

I will be attending that race this year as well.

The biggest thing in desert riding is setting the proper sag ( a little bit lower than most mx setups)

Adjusting clickers you are going to be adjusting mostly high speed settings to handle the whoops and chattering on washboard style roads.

This video gives you a basic understanding.
